Racebike..sort of done.

The bike is done, and I rode it on track last Friday.

I did not think this possible when CRC Racing kept shipping the wrong parts (they couldn't get the correct parts shipped to me), in the end I sourced the neccessary seat bracket from another manufacturer (who also made a rear cowling / seat unit suspiciously similar to Yoshi parts..).

It became a rush to the finish to get it all together. All these little things, that'll make or break a project...drilling the swing arm for a shark fin style chain guard was a "measure 11 times, drill once" type jobs. It all adds up.
Getting the right clipons, find out that the OE Nissin master fouls the fairings...ho-hum, order that RCS19.

The catalyst wouldn't fit inside the lower fairing, so full exhaust...then add a second muffler inline to at least try to get it below 95 dB flyby....wait for that to get delivered (and fitted by a very skilled friend, factory look).
Full exhaust -> remap...so time to visit a friend again, a weekend on his dyno - 196 hp on the back wheel (and lots more on part load...everywhere).

It all came out rather nice...and I've picked up a few new things. All in all, a nice bike.

More pics on the little details to come.

Race premiere this upcoming weekend....

Jetprime race buttons and their quick throttle solution - proper stuff. 100% plug and play, the trottle unit has a button that lights up the OE brake light - perfect for a rain light.
Throttle throw is spot on, not too short.

195 TTW must be a hoot
It's prone to lift the front wheel...which is quite ineffective if the goal is to go fast.. :D
Yea the TC and Wheelie Ctrl are linked so if you lower the TC setting you also lower the intervention level of wheelie control on both the OEM ecu and the Yoshimura KIT ecu. You can adjust the ETV levels in the KIT software.

First of all, great bike in the best color!! Does the jetprime throttle needs new throttle cables? I tried to find that info but It's not clear on Jetprimes website...

Cheers!

It's 100% plug and play with factory throttle cables and electrical wiring. Superb stuff, apart from the installation angle being limited by the brake lever (OCD thing, I cannot get the buttons really in the angle I prefer, as the brake handle will foul the cable fixture on the throttle assy.
Nice outcome for you there mate. I don't know if it's the same for the throttle you got but my quick action Yoshi throttle was the same regarding brake lever position, so I re routed cables and now the cables can set to one each side of the brake lever and set in any position

That's something I'll see if I can do on my bike, neat!

Cheers

Pretty much everyone who builds a race bike goes through the same things… Very stressful especially when getting ready for a race weekend. Happened to me when I built my K6 600 race bike and my K5 1000 race bike.

Yeah, I went into this with that in mind...and did my research before ordering the neccessary parts.
The fairings were the only major issue, with that in hindsight I'd go for something like Bikesplast today.

Other than that, it's all the little things. and adjustments...
