I've seen the D-ring stainless fasteners kits and some have rivet-on base mounts,
and some are simply slip-on base mount.

I could see the slip-ons moving possibly but dont know how tight they really are.
Which do you prefer and why? :dunno

Rivet on kits because they won't fall when you remove/install fairings.

Thanks JK, now it's 12mm or 14mm. I would think the 14's would be easier to install and remove.

I have the slip ons and besides them falling off when you remove fairings, ive had no issues. Fitment is tight. Just make sure you know how long the fastener needs to be.

I never had the slip on clips fall off. You can also bend the slip on clips to make them tighter or looser fitting. Get D ring heads.
