things went really well for us. Dave got a good lap in on the 600 and says the bike is now ready for the races. no more fettling required. he then got ready to do 2 laps on the F1 bike and then to try and get a lap in on the 1000 production bike.
mad simon minding the bikes
During the day we had changed the shock linkage on the F1 bike back to the standard suzuki unit rather than the yoshi unit used for short tracks. well dave ended the 2nd lap at an average of 114.92 mph. he has never been that fast in practice week. he got off the bike grinning like a cheshire cat, but disapointed not to break the 115 mph barrier. Dave normally goes much faster in the race, so we are keeping our fingers crossed for a good result. he did not do a lap on the production 1000 as the rain started comming down, and we had nothing to gain, but everything to lose if he slid off, so it was off back home for some tea.

Meanwhile John McGuinness unofficially broke the lap record for the F1 and the Junior bike (lap records cannot be set in practice) on the new R1 Formula 1 bike and his tuned junior R6. We will have to wait and see if he can carry this pace over to race week....
its very cloudy here today with some light rain. Afternoon practice may be delayed to the evening, we are waiting on an announcement at 11 am local time. First race the F1 race on saturday and things are looking good for us this year.....
