Hello,

I have an 09 GSXR 600 and was wondering where is the powerband? I keep hearing about the term and have an idea of what it means(when the bike starts pulling), but I can't recognize it when riding. To me, it starts pulling as soon as I start going from a dead stop lol My question is....at what rpm do I reach the "Powerband?" Thank you for your help.

The powerband is located on the frame near the voltage regulator. If you replace the factory silver one with a platinum one, it will give you 50hp an 220+ mph!

:dissapointed

if i had to describe it...accelerate full throttle in first gear to redline. when you hit probably about 9k rpm you will feel a pretty decent power kick and that is when you are in the meat of the "power band". :dunno

Do a search on here, there a many different colors that you can get them in. I prefer Pink but thats just me.

On a serious note, "Powerband" is refering to the power curve of the motorcycle on a graph/Dyno. If your bike has a smooth powerband meaning no hestitation throughout you wont feel a change in power, just a smooth pull to redline. You know youre going to get a bunch of shit for this right?

just gotta feel it when you ride. if i recall, its normally in the mid rpm range where you will feel it in lower gears. me personally i havent gone full WOT yet. i have been up to 50-60% throttle. owned my bike a while but i have no need or reason to go full open all the way on the streets.

Hahahha you guys have to all be kidding right? It's the rpm range between your bikes maximum torque and maximum horsepower. You're going to feel the most power there so for your bike between 11500 and 13500rpm is the powerband range.
