so says my uncle and his racing buddies... they are in their 50s. Personally, I only pull power wheelies because I do not like clutching it...

are they just battle hardened scooter tramps or is their truth to it...? They claim clutching it is cheating. I have never heard this until this last weekend.

what say you...?

Either one is a great way of getting a ticket, cops don't distinguish between them :squid

What ever happened to Wink and his Blocks? Always thought it was funny of him hanging wheelies in his church shoes on a 900RR back in the day.

Used to see that crew regularly back in the mid-late '90s,they would always stop by the spots where everyone met up to street race on thursday nites.

An unplanned power wheelie makes you feel the best is my feeling...
Look at the IOM TT. At times the bike gets up at well above 200kph / 120mph.

Any wheelie is a wheelie. Suppose it has to do with the power of the older bikes.
If it could wheelie on its own without the clutch it was a real wheelie.

Then a RM250 and a CR500 are best at this!!!

I don't do wheelies, too scared of ditching the bike and being a couple grand down! Yea I know I'm a pussy :) I have done power wheelies on my 600 over the crest of hills etc. Once I overtook a car and forgot there was a small change in altitude, I just floated the front wheel in the air passed it and felt like a boss!

no shit...

When I was your age, I had to push my bike 10 miles in the snow to find dry pavement to do my wheelies on... and we didn't have no sissy giant rear sprockets

wheelies are fun... believe it or not, you can do it safely... I would have felt like a boss, too...

Of all of the bikes I have been on I still have never ridden an open class 2 stroke. I will someday, even if it means I have to buy one. :hammer
Good luck finding one that isn't a worn out basket case by now :(
