I've got a 08 1000 and I've been feeling the itch to get the front wheel up, but don't want to fuck anything up. How'd you feel starting off? Have you tried clutching it, and if so, which do you like better and why?

To be honest, I was shit scared at first. I have security cameras out front and when I first got what felt like a decent wheelie I raced inside to watch it and I was only a foot high lol. I'm still learning though and as the 101 states, 1st gear is great for learning. Lock your legs to the tank, get into band and bang the throttle open.
