what do it do when you have a fouled plug? my bike is sputtering at idel and backfires ever once in awhile. i havnt rev it or anything just because i dont want to hurt anything. any comments?

Night you might get lucky and blow out whatevers causing the foul and shouldn't hurt the bike by revving alittle. Is it always the same plug that fouls?

Entirely possible that is what is happening. The only thing is, there's probably a reason the plugs fouled in the first place, but start by replacing them.
My new CBR900RR exhibited the same symptoms, and changing the plugs totally made that go away. Runs like a top now.
