I'm looking ahead to spring, and thinking about doing my first Track day. Do any of you guys ever do any track school classes, or just the full-on trackday described on the PIR website? If you have done any of the official classes, which ones do you recommend? :eek

any of the trackdays done at PIR will provide you with classroom instruction, you should check out the actual trackday company websites, they are..

i have done several with CTT and they run a pretty good day. so does PSSR, i haven't done a motocorsa day but a friend of mine is an instructor for them and i've heard good things.

with ANY of these track days you will get classroom instructio as well as track instruction. it is optional though. since this is your first track day you will be in "c" group and will be required to attend the classroom sessions between track sessions, it's a great experience and you will learn A TON! plus you can ask any of the intructors to lead you around or follow you around the track. they will give you pointers and smooth things out for you.

hope that helps, +1 to sportbikes.ws my username is the same over there and they have lots of info for local riders. i recently moved to the area and in just one summer i have met a boat load of new riding and track buddies.
