this is one of those mods that you take a crankbreather and attach to one you pointed to you use a hard enough hose that will not collapse. It is supose to give you a better response power or what not (as you see I have not done it) Only think i see is that you save oil from getting into your breather, but anyhow you also cap off the top where the hose leads to on airbox. This is suppose to give you better pressure in airbox to inprove performance, but again I feel that its not enough to gave any thought to and it may work but at highway speed. Someone should be able to fill in more on what i left out and so forth but that is a brief run-down

The crankcase filter mod isnt about more power... It is about better responce.

The crank case pumps out hot air all the time (it also takes with it the blow by from your rings). Stock this is pumped back into the air box and reburned in the motor. If you remove this line from the airbox, you get only fresh air into the motor.

You should not get less air.. Just cap off the part of the air box that the crankcase breather went into. I guess that you would get a bit less air since the air comming out of the crankcase isnt being pumped into the airbox. But in turn... If you think about it... the ram air being forced into the air box will have to go someplace right? Well at 120MPH your motor is not going to suck up all the air PSI in the box. so wouldnt some of it be forced into the crankcase? This would then make it harder for the piston to travle down (this would be the oposite of the PAIR SUCKER on the new bikes.

As of yet no i have not got this thing to the dyno yet I would have to go a hour outta my time to get there and also I am still working out some kinks. Vance and Hines power pak is actually off for right now. I have no use for it due to me getting ready to purchase a dyna 2000, but when was stock that vance and hines worked alright on perfromance 3 When I did use 4 at the strip once i got to the end itt died out on me. I have been to strip with bore kit in and results was bad due to the jetting I ran against a buddies 97 118hp +2 up in rear and the results was me coming off line he leaving me about 3/4 bike length and until the 1/8 mark I catch him and pretty much beat him fairly easy. It was consistant we ran over 10 times and same results every time. Times was 11.3-11.6, also clutches was on its way out so I am sure that I can improve on it and not getting a good start did not help either I am right now 16t front and 42 in from went one less to get more top end and keep front down. As soon as I get one I will post. Also if you know anyone that want this power pak thing let me know it is for sale at a low low price

the 'air' from the crankcase breather is hot crankcase vapor, why would you want that in your intake stream? it will only hurt performance. the only reason why the crankcase breather is routed into the airbox from the factory is because federal emissions regulations require it.

you can do the pair sucker mod on any bike that has a pair system.....
