Damn.....that's a good price! Especially for a Pro w/ night sights.
Yeah the police supply store has a 15% discount for first responders, pilots, and military. So that brought it down to $500. And then I am using that rebate. So I can't pass it up. Next is a long gun for some long distance shooting. Still in the process of convincing the fiance on that one.

Congrats on the new pistol, never been a big fan of Smith and Wesson, Im a Glock man myself. Enjoy and please post some pics Id like to see it. Its been awile since Ive looked at the new stuff out there.
Will do!

Understandable, however we are expecting and having a wedding in a month. And moving from Kansas to Montana two days after the wedding. So hobbies in reality should be put on hold until after the move. And preparing for a youngin'. She does support me and my many hobbies. Just in moderation.

I'll be using it to acquire my CCW, so then obviously self defense. Probably get a .45 for home defense. I carried a Beretta M9 for over a year everyday. I qualified with it, and got a lot of range time overseas with it. Other than that, no handgun experience. My Sqd leader in my unit is going to be the next co-host on "Top Shot" he is an avid shooter with 3 gun competitions. He was also in the Maxim "Maximum Warrior Competition" they did. So I'll be getting a lot of good training through him. If you haven't seen the Maxim deal, lot of good stuff. And of course Maxim women!

From what I read, you got a lot of experience.. Qualified + Range time=experience!!

I favor the 1911, and I see you are getting that for home defense.. Good move..:thumbup

Straight and safe shooting to you, :cheers
