I recently bought a 99 Gixxer 750 with a Full Yoshimura RS-3(high mount), K&N air filter, and a PCII. The guy I bought it from said he didnt do much tuning to the PCII and I would like to load a map onto it. My friend has a PCIII on his F4I and we hooked up the cable to my PCII and tried to use his PCIII program on his computer to see if I already had a map on my PCII and nothing loaded or came up at all. He said the PCIII program might not be compatible with my PCII. Does anyone know if this is true? Will I have to get a PCII program to load a map to my PCII or will his program work fine? And does anyone have a map for my bike with the mods I have?

exactly as mpdgsxr1000 stated, u need a power source to the pcii before you can send/receive data........by having the bike turned on and 50 feet (it can be coupled several times as these files are very small) of cable run, this is accomplished...

what i did was buy the 9volt battery adapter (10$ from dynojet directly) to avoid the need for all that damned cable.......

its the one thing that isnt clearly mentioned b4 buyin it (IMHO)

they both use the same program. did you have the bike on? it needs to be on to do anything with the pc's unless you have the 9volt battery adapter

Hi

If you could get hold of a PCII program CD, it has a short video on how to use PCii. I think you have to have the engine up and running in order to upload or get the map. One of these people should be able to help you, I am in UK otherwise I could send you a CD.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">on the 99 750 pc2 you dont have to have the bike running. just have the key and the kill switch to the on position so the pc recieves power

if you dont have the pc disk go to www.powercommander.com and download the latest program version and you can get all the maps for your bike there as well
