I'd like to start a thread on home mapping. My understanding is that you can't get actual A/F ratios without an auto-tuner. I don't have one and don't want the expense or hassle. Short of spending every other weekend having a dyno done, is there some way to tweak/adjust maps to gradually dial them in?

Thanks, Paul

You need a wideband to know what your engine is doing, and then you can go to a track and make consistent runs to see if you're making more power.

Auto-Tune still won't produce as good of a map as an competent person tuning your bike on a dyno.

A sensor is a component of an auto tuner. It by itself just gives you measurement. An auto-tuner will record data points (only one of which is AFR) for evaluation and application.
