This is what I have in my on-bike vinyl plastic tool bag that is kept in the rear seat compartment:

  • 6mm, 5mm, 4mm, 3mm hex key
  • 17mm / 14mm wrench
  • 12mm / 10mm wrench
  • 36 mm wrench (MADE IN JAPAN)
  • 27 mm wrench (MADE IN JAPAN)
  • Phillips & Flat head screw drivers
  • Socket hex head multi-tool 16mm, 10mm
  • Mini 5-inch slip joint pliers
  • bottle jack lever?

What came with the bike when new?
Is there anything missing?
What are these tools for?

For example, say you have a dead battery and the bike won't start. The 4mm hex key gets the seat bolts off to access the battery for a jump start.

I'm guessing the other tools are for getting the wheels off?

The wheels are a joke. Good luck breaking that rear nut loose with that 4" long wrench. The front wheel requires a special tool, which isn't included. About all this is good for is if you need to tighten up a control or something. I used it once to replace a clutch lever on a friend's bike.

While I agree with you,

you know that flat/oval piece of metal next to the larger ones is to slip on those axle nut wrenches and get more leverage? It makes it ~7 inch lever? the thing in the pic that is NOT marked.

Isn't that longer folding multi tool also a spark plug wrench? In theory, with just those tools you could check/change the plugs too!

I wish I had the OEM took kit! My last few used bikes did not have it anymore!
