Bones, you said you had a 4 inch extention and a slick, on your 1100. I've seen bikes with six and eight inch ones on DOT tires . How much is too much with DOT's. I just got mine, it's a '89 GSXR-750 with 4.5 inch extention and lowered 3 inches all the way around. Still trying to find the best set up.

The only reason to run a dot tire is for the street. I did not run mine on the street. Here in Alaska all bikes are lumped in the same class (and its ET drags) so I no longer have the Turbo 1100 that I was speaking of as I can run real consistant on a naturaly asperated bike. The extension only helps to keep the front trie down and with the weight transfer. If the front tire is more then a few inches off the ground even wheeliee bars are not set up properly. The trouble with no bar bikes is the control. If you are planning on drag only switch to a slick and a lock-up clutch your times will improve.
