So can oil manufactures just say that there oil meets whatever standard or does it get tested ect by API or JASO? If they have to undergo testing is there a way to verify that they have passed the standards? I'm really thinking about using rotella non synthetic for my first oil change then switching to my old standard Mobil 1 4T at the second oil change. I'm not concerned wig rotella I'm just wandering how it works. I'm only going to use JASO MA oils in my bike. I can't find any that are listed with the proper API standards. I've read that the newer standards are supposed to work with everything but you can't go by that for bikes. I've used motorcycle specific oils for a long time except for back in the day.
