This is my first post. I'm not good with mechanics:banghead... Just throwing that out there. I have a 2005 gsxr750. The threading is stripped on the oil pan where the drain plug goes. Would it be possible to tap it? Or do i need to replace the entire oil pan? Or is there a better solution?

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to go with the helicoil. I've been hearing good things about them. Not sure if an auto parts store will carry them but I'm headed to find out...

I got mine from Autozone. Check the other thread. IIRC, the drain plug is a common automotive spark plug thread.
