Did my oil change on my 05 gsxr 600 tonight. Noticed a faint fuel smell. Started sniffing around and finally found the source. In the old oil. The bike has a little over 16k on her, never stunted or raced. Just my daily work driver. Any thoughts or possibly fixes would be much appreciated. Thanks.

the only things i can think of are rings. this will cause blow-by. but, you should see some grey smoke during riding after giving it a lot of throttle and backing off.
maybe you have a valve stuck open or a weak valve spring. that's why a quick compression test would help a diagnosis.

I had a similar experience with my most recent oil change.
I will be getting the bike out of storage next month and will be starting diag. If I get a good answer, I will let you know.
