OK so sorry I'm new here. k1 k2 k3 and I understand how they vary in years and vary in certain 600 to 750. Have any of you psychos tried doing a complete swap 2017 750 into an 02 600 frame? Info info info please fill me in.
So have they ran into the typical front motor mount issue? I've only heard of two semi annoying issues when doing it. The first being the front mount the second being a low fuel light after the swap for some reason.
OK OK. So I bought an 02 600 and when I got it home ot was way worse then the guy said so now I'm exploring options for engine based off of local listings I've seen and I just happened to come across a wrecked 2017.
OK so what's the best possible swap for an 02 600 frame I have a general idea of what I'm in for but I'm also trying to make sure there isn't anything stupid I'm going to try I'd hate to be midway and be like well this ain't gonna to work
Listen man, don't attempt this at all. Just starting a thread like this and the questions you have posed so far indicates you don't have enough experience for a project like that.
Especially with the 2017 motor which was made more compact for it's final revision in 06/7.
You could look for same year 600/750 motor, be much more straightforward but would still take some learned skills to rebuild the entire motorcycle correctly.
How beat up is your 600 chassis ? is it worth it ?
Just buy a complete bike with no issues and enjoy life. Learn to work on it and take it apart then later on down the road if you still want to build a Frankenstein you will have a clue.
