Anybody know the requirements to ride a bike on the Nurburgring (i.e., full leather, anything have to be safety tied etc,.? Im trying to go up before I leave Germany.

The bike needs to be registered, insured and fully street legal - including a street legal exhaust. They sound test EVERYONE on the way in and if you make too much noise, they turn you away. Your best bet is a stock exhaust, the Hotbodies in your sig WILL NOT cut it.

You don't need any track prep like safety wire and you can't have the lights taped since it's not really a track, it's a public one-way toll road without speed limits (except at the entrance and exit, they do have speed limits there and they do enforce them).

As for gear, I don't think full leathers are required since it's a public road but you'd be a retard not to wear them - it's fast, technical and you WILL get hurt if you crash in jeans.

As it turns out, Nürburgring has this nifty thing called a "website" - where they have the safety regulations and everything. :idea I found it with something called a "Google" :biggrin
