Fro those of you that have not modified your tank for a larger capacity try this. Get a sealed battery (the completly sealed type) and lay it on its side in the space where you airbox used to be. Then mount the LTD side panels. Without the battery there the bike looks much cleaner. I am using a battery for a small plane now on its side under my tail piece. It weighs 11lbs and has 625 cranking amps. No more starting problems! It is larger than my stock 88 batt. but I am going to swich to a different one that has 500 cranking amps (still more than stock) but is only three in thick.

Remember this...Anyone can restore a classic like ours, but it takes a real man to cut one up.
