Would it be better to learn wheelies on stock gearing or on a larger rear sprocket? I am no wheelie king as I can only do little popcorns right now but my buddy wants to really start pushing himself and I can see his is sort of "tense" and nervous on the big which I guess is normal in the beginning. Instead of learning an expensive leason by dumping it do you think that changing the gearing makes wheelies a lot "easier" and safer for noobs?

Found this in the very first sticky in this sub-section that you also posted in. Not a new topic either...

"So do not throw a bigger sprocket in the back or a smaller one up front if you can't get it up in first. It's your fault, not the bike. You're only making things more dangerous for yourself once you finally do stifle your survival instincts long enough to let the wheel come up."

Lol, that was total sarcasm as I am sure every aspect of a wheelie has been discussed here. If you are offended I'll take you out for a starbucks ice frappe with extra whipped cream? mmmmmmmm

Yea I keep saying to him practice practice practice but I didn't know if it make it easier and safer with different gearing. I know the stunt bikes so it and wasn't sure if they do it for ease or not. Again I am in no a stunter.
