Hello. Just picked up an 89 750. The more I find out about the bike, the more I like it. Just saying hello.

Agreed. I just scored an odd 1 off.
86 frame
87 gastank
89 motor
89 bodywork with 92 1100 Solo seat
92 1100 front forks
braced swingarm
Full Yosh system (nothing in the can though)
Fox Shock (it's toast)
Stage 3 Jet kit
Dunlop D207's (fork seals shot, oozed all over the tire, probably shot)
and the subframe is way choped. Can't wait to get it going.

I picked one up for cheap, bone stock. It's all original as far as we can tell, except for steering dampener and braided lines. Really good shape, I'm excited!

just got her plated.

Welcome Ronnie.
it really is addictive on here. I never used to use the computer but once I found this site the kids don't get a chance to use it anymore, be warned.

Don't have a wife or a g/f willing to pose on the bike. I'll go dig some trailer chick up soon.

Oh well, first thing is to haul that shock off and ship it down to Fox for a rebuild, complete with your weight and riding style. You'll find that redoing the good shocks isn't too painful, though the initial purchase price can be

Welcome!

Welcome to the board, I have only been here a short time but this board appears to be a endless wealth of knowledge. By the way Bones, I can't spell GSXR yet but I can sorta ride one!!

re: shocks.

Damn, the original owner must have been like 250 pounds because this bike is set up STIFF! It's friggin bone jarring, first order of affairs, ditch the dual exhaust, custom bend some new exhaust. Get a new rear shock, set everything up for my measly 130 pounds.

Then...put the new 14tooth sprocket on...then i'm off...(don't hate me) drag racing.

thanks guys, ronnie
