I really picked the brains of the K&N dealer and they actually had the PC-2 for my bike for $145 shipped. They said they didn't have anymore, but this one is different because it has the Race map on it, but big deal, I will just change the map. So I went ahead and bought it, I couldn't pass that deal up. Esemes helped out a bunch with my decision, so thanks to him a lot. I also just put my new K&N on the bike today, and the PC should be here next week, so I am psyched to get it and see if I can figure out how to install it, on the bike, and download the map. ANy tricks on the install for the PC-2 let me know, thanks for the help.

Congrats.
I got mine from them @ the same price awhile back. Install is simple. Just take off your seat, & plug a connector from the stock pc into it, then plug the PCII into it. If you don't have 1 already, get yourself a service manual. There's a guy on the site that sells them for $30, just do a search.

I bought mine from the US and still it worked out cheaper in spite of shipping, customs duty etc. $145 is dirt-cheap and fitting a PCII is piss-easy. Congrats on a super deal
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Hi Raz, been a while mate. Hope you had a good xmas/new year

when you got the pcII, what customs did you get charged. I think it's 7% on top of total bill, then 17.5% vat ??? Reason i say is that i have link for them at $259 plus $25 shipping.

But if i get buy them at $145, i'll buy now !!!

Hi Dan

Hope you had nice christmas, better than mine at least. I bought my PCII from someone in the US for $200. Customs duty and post office handling charges work out about 30%. On the instructions manual it said "For US Models Only", mine is a US import so I didn't worry about it, this is something you'll have to look into if yours is a UK bike. Clarify this point and you can't go wrong if you pay $145 (90 quid for us, peanuts!!)

I didn't ride out much, am developing funny problems in me tummy (feels like navel hernia) and can smell another long sick-leave coming this way. Remember I had 10 months off after slipping at work and smashing my knee, literally knee-capping myself. What's the progress with that damper you bought off ebay? I have a Daytona side mount somewhere in the loft. Some American company makes a bracket for it so that it is located a couple of inches back and doesn't hit the headlight when the bars are turned left. If you can find the bracket, I can send you the damper. It has 8 settings and comes complete with the clamps. You enjoyed Bacardi and coke, Captain Morgan and coke is my drink

Sounds like your in the wars there Raz, i stepped off a ladder once carrying stuffon my shoulder. my right knee just went spastic, cap slid out of joint and the leg swung out before it came back and locked itself back in. but the pain man, bleedin' nora.

It was Bill that bought the damper, luckily i was outbid on a busa one here. Thnaks for te offer though mate, i'm gonna pop down to the sprint engineering shop here (they make em here) and see what deal they'd do me on their top mount job. I've dealt with the lads before even on non-bike stuff.

What do you think to the meet up REV's arranging for the spring. sounds like it could be a laugh. loads of ideas but all still up in the sky....

Ya here is the number, you have to call them, because they have some laying around, but basically you have to ask for them. The part number for the 1998 GSXR-750 for the PC-2 with the race map was 83302-117. The customer service number is where you will place the order, is 1-800-858-3333 extension(Ext) 1801. It's for sale at $145 U.S. dollars. The site is this, it won't show the PC-2's, just call and ask about them. Tell them you talked to Darlene in Technical Service and say that she said they have a few of these left in stock.

www.knfilters.com is the site. Good luck.

Well I'm glad you got hooked up on the PC-2. How did shipping change, since you are sending it across the sea? What kinda of extra charges were involved?

i've purchased through a US user so it's being shipped at normal price.

then the private 'contact' will be sending them to me (i've ordered 3). not sure what the cost will be, but i will not pay shipping/customs/post office duties saving me even more money.

i've one for myself, plus two for mates that said they 'might' have one !! but if they dont, i'll get plenty of action on ebay....

slick....

two good maps to try....

1)302.007 (works to eliminate the 4K surges...WELL)

2)302.004...jus plain works.....

***dont be afraid to fiddle with the buttons on the box either....****you can very easily return it to 000's across the board, without harm to the map!!!***

also, dont forget to check the ignt=ition tables....i dont recommend going and changing that up!!!

i have maps, if you want any....dont know if any are gonna help; even have one custom one....foir the 750wx at least...(prolly not a good idea tho.........each bike is very different in its needs)
