New oil cooler

I have replaced the oil cooler on my 1992 GSXR 1100. Do I need to worry about bleeding the system or can I just put new oil in the motor and let it pump its self through?

Save your money. You can prefill the cooler, or replace the cooler, fill the crankcase to the full mark, run it until you feel the inlet to the oil cooler get warm to the touch. Shut it off and let oil drain back into the crankcase, then refill to the full mark. Done.

There is a spring-loaded valve in the oil pan that recirculates oil in the engine until it warms enough to open, then will allow warm oil to flow to the cooler. No damage will occur. Have done this many many times.
