I just got my 98 750 back together after a bad get off. I have replaced the forks , triple tree and front wheel. The problem is the front wheel is very close to the bottom fairing lip. The bike rides great so I just want to check some mesurements. Plaese measure the distance between the front axle and the swing arm bolt on the frame. This should give me an idea weather the frame is bent or the fairing brackets are off.

trhanks , mike

okay, heres the best i can do...

35-3/8" measured as follows.....
from the rear of the shift lever, with the bike ingear(1), and hooking the steel tape dummy end onto the shift peg, and measuring to center of the front axle (eyeballed. of course)

how's that??

How about from the scrape nut on the end of the peg ? I have my shifter reversed so its not a very good point of measurement. I measured from the back side of the nut ( using the lip on the end of the tape measure to hold it in place ) to the center of my axel. I cam up with 39 and 3/4 on both sides. What do you guys get ?
