Yea hi I’m new on this page however I will get right down to it, I have a 2012 Gsxr 1000 recently recovered from thief I’ll post a before and after picture. However the bikes ignition was hammered out and you can turn it on and off with a flathead screw driver, the whole throttle module was gone so I replace that hooked to the two wires up easy fix then turning on the bike the fuel pump kicks on and it won’t crank any ideas? I just prefer the whole ignition unit.

I believe there are several posts here about the C42 code. Might try a search on here.
I think C42 is an ignition switch code.
There is a resister in the switch that can burn out and trigger the anti-theft system to kick in.
Given the state of your ignition switch, I would guess that the switch is indeed the problem!
