Hey ladies,

I just got a gixxer 600 and took my gf for her first ride on a motorcycle. She loved riding and now i want to teach her to ride, problem is she has never been on one and is gonna lay it down. it's cool with me i like to tinker. anyways, to the jacket topic. when she does lay it down i don't want her to get all scraped up. any suggestions on what brand really fits the female torso best? i have no idea.

If your girlfriend has a non-standard figure, you'll probably want to go to a store and try things on. If you can't do that, check out motorcyclegear.com. They show lots of photos of the jackets on a real person. They'll also answer questions quickly about any gear. Great return policy, good prices. To be blunt my wife has big breast's and a small waste, we went to a whole lot of diff store trying shit on and the one she said fit her most comfy "up top" was an alpinestar jacket. So like luna said you gotta just go try some on, maybe alpine will be comfy for her to.

I actually like Joe Rocket..... I tried ordering a jacket online through ebay and was really disappointed... First I really didn't know anything about motorcycle let alone about the equipment. My boyfriend rides and I want to be geared properly if we happen to take a tumble. Need-less-to-say I order an off brand jacket (leather) I tried it on and I felt like a pickle in a packed jar. I went to a motorcycle shop and took my jacket there the sales person gave me really good advice on what to look for when getting a jacket. The first thing he said is it is always best to go into a store and try on, each brand and model has a different feel and cut. I tried on a few jackets until I found Joe Rocket CLEO 2.0 jacket! Great liner and able to adjust arms, waist and even the back of the jacket.... I didn't buy it there, normally they don't carry a lot of womens gear so it has to be ordered anyway, so I went on ebay and was able to find the jacket about $50 cheaper and I love it!
