Hey to continue on with the 4-5 times to start bike when cold question. The mechanic I go to says he thinks remapping the FI with a yoshi box will help. I have a bolt on yoshi pipe so... He thinks it needs to be richened up. The guy is totally awesome and I trust him but just wanted to know what you knowledgable gixxer guys think.

Also could the CCT have anything at all to do with this? I sometimes get backfires these days outta the pipe when letting off the throttle around 9000rpm

If it pops out the tail you might lean or have a ex leak...

As for the mapping it might help a bit cause when the motor is cold it needs more fuel to make it run (that is why a choke adds fuel), but you should tune the bike to run good when hot, then deal with it not starting well at first.. It would give you a better bike over all..

The CCT could cause this problem if it is to tight.
