I have a 1982 Suzuki GS 1100 that I am currently in the middle of a restoration, I am stretched on the bike doing new cans a set of 4 Mikuni RS38 flatslides carbs. However, I've had the carbs in my garage for quite some time and I never realized that one of my flat slides appears to have been cut to allow more air to flow through. I'm unsure whether or not I should install these on my bike, what exactly this is going to do, I am not super familiar with carburetor setups. Can somebody please give me an inkling of what I'm about to be dealing with. And do I need to replace the slide all together?
