I've been checking out some mikuni rs carbs out on ebay new and theres only a few bucks difference between the rs 38s and rs 40s. I have a 1990 gsxr 1100 stock motor in my 86 1100 with vance and hines pipe stage 3 jet kit and dyna 2000 ignition. which is the better option? 38s? 40s? or should i stick with rs36s?

36's will provide a really responsive mid range and great street manners.
40's can provide more hp on top end, but a stock engine won't see the potential.
38's may provide the best of both worlds.

38's are the best option for stock or modified engine. I use them for many years with no issues at all.!!!
