Hey people,

Iv got a set of Michelin Power 3 on my GSXR 1000. Cant fault the tyres overall and have done a couple of trackdays on them.
However, Ive noticed that on the tyre where it looks like the tread join point is seems to be chipping up and otherwise showing signs of deterioration (see pics).
Is this normal and otherwise nothing to worry about or something worth following up?

cheers
J

OMG!!!!! Stop riding and get new tires as that is not good...not good at all. Don't dispose of the tire as Michelin will want to see what went wrong with this tire or batch of tires.

:phhht

It's OK and nothing to worry about. You haven't seen this on other bikes at the track?

haha. cheers.
nah man, first couple of track days ever and I wasnt scrutinizing other peoples tyres down the the tread seam level :p

didnt even really notice this until afterwards and when alot of the other chunks of stuck rubber and that hazy/melty look started wearing away through use.
