Well worth the investment. I have a set of Marchesini wheels on my RC51 and have had them on a 916 and the difference is significant. Expect big improvement in ease turning in, making side to side transitions. The overall weight of the bike is reduced 12-20 lbs which you can feel. Greatly reduced unsprung weight so easier on teh suspension and rotating mass is greatly reduced so the bike spins up faster and is easier on the brakes. Just watch out for potholes!!!

My Marchesini's are 5 spoke. They cost me $1200 which was a deal. They make a HUGE difference. I would only suggest doing this after getting your suspension upgraded which is still the biggest bang for the buck in the handling department.
