I think maybe I'm desensitized. A story like that would not even make the news in my neighborhood.

But I'll see your armed drunk man in a tree, and raise you a car crashing through a house with a woman in the trunk. This happened about a mile from my house, in my neighborhood.

That is precisely my point. How is this possibly newsworthy? A drunk guy passed out, with a long gun, unloaded, in his backback.... sleeping under a tree. RED ALERT, CALL SWAT!!!! :frantic

It was surely a bolt action .22 or something equally terrifying

My girlfriend works at a dive bar on about 10 minutes from our house on the west side of flint. It was a summer day, she was out on the patio smoking cigarettes and mingling with her customers and man came walking down the road with a shotgun on his shoulder. He was about 200 ft from the bar patio, across the street, got into an altercation with another individual and began racking shots off right there, as cars are driving by and with people on the patio watching (well... not watching so much as running). Never made the news. They sent 2 cruisers with cops riding 2 up to apprehend the fella. It was an interesting day at the local watering hole. Lol

Did I mention I live in the ghetto? Haha
