So my fiancee lower her bike and were raising it again, the kickstand was cut down to allow for the lower height.

Does the gsx600(2010) kickstand work and operate the same as the GSX650F (08)?

If it's anything like the 95 gsx750f (doubt that it is though) it definitely won't work. My old katana's kickstand was way different height and shape wise then my 06 gsxr.

yeah i'm not sure how the stand from 95 was, i have a feeling its different but i want to confirm

How about you buy a kick stand on ebay for 20 buckaroos or less?
