i just bought a brand new k7 600 and took it home. the thing is leaking oil from somewhere near the shifter. i brought it back and they replaced the o-ring on the counter shaft. the thing was still leaking. does anyone know where it could be leaking from that general area? are there any other gaskets near that area. i bought the bike with 0.2 miles.......so sad.....

exactly what he said.. i would take it there and leave it there until they get it fixed.. its under warranty and they HAVE to fix it.

At no cost to you, also if you call head office they should do something for you. At least ask, you might get a discount on your next bike or a deal on some merchandise or future maintenance on your bike.

just got my wifes bike back from an oil leak problem.

They said it was the cylinder head and replaced the gasket for that, took it out on sunday and wouldn't you know it the oil is still leaking. It looks to be coming from right below the header somewhere around the water inlet connector.

I guess we'll see.

Careful when you ride but anyways bring it back to dealer and talk to them until they solve the problem..GOOD LUCK

Yeah I had a leak on mine- it was the oil temp guage-they fixed it straight away!

+1, I totally agree, it's understandable to have issues. but something like this, it needs to be recalled.

The 06 600/750 Gixxers are really fantastic bikes but when it comes to quality, they suck.

They should stamp them "made in Detroit" not "made in Japan" :biggrin :biggrin :biggrin
