Hi, purchased a Gsxr1000k6 2 weeks ago and wanted to know if its normal that sometimes when i turn the ignition on the fuel pump prime 2 times? The bike starts easily and the FI light doesnt light up

Som'tin ain't right. It should only happen once when the ECM gets power. It controls the fuel pump relay which, in turn, controls power to the pump. AFAIK it's done to pressurize the fuel line, i.e. there's a check valve in the pump motor to maintain pressure after shutoff. Multiple primes could mean multiple turn-on's of the ECM, among other things.

Solved! It wasnt the fuel pump i was hearing the exhaust valve servo motor... The previous owner when changing the exhaust didnt eliminated it...

I'm glad you posted what the sound was coming from, this thread was driving me crazy trying to figure it out.

No problem, before the gsxr i was riding a Sv1000s so that sound was new to me
