Hey Guys,

Currently working on the 520 conversion for the K5 and wanted to know if I need to change the shims/washers or need to add shims/washer to the front sprocket to get the alignment right? Or do I just put the front sprocket in the same way.

my 520 setup is:

Renthal front (17) and Renthal Rear (44) with DID ERV2

There is sufficient clearance on both the countershaft and the rear wheel sprocket carrier so that you do not have to use any spacers, especially if you stick with the same size front sprocket. My 520 ERV2 and AFAM sprockets went in that way and they have been just fine, through one track day. My guess is that Suzuki (and most of the other sportbike makers) have designed it that way to accomodate race upgrades.

Hope this helps.................
