I just moved from southern California, a riders heaven to Kennett Mo. I am looking for folks to ride with when i get my bike back together (totaled it in July when i hit a deer) also would like to know if there are any hills or twisties in riding difference. Are there any tracks within a 4 or 5 hour drive that have track days?

its a little bit of a drive but if you head to southwest missouri and northwest arkansas there are tons of twisties to ride and theres some good eating to take a trip grab lunch then head home..

and im sure theres plenty of twistie roads on the way over there to

trackdays around here would be hallett in oklahoma heartland park in topeka kansas and i forget the name or if its even open anymore but there is/was a track up by st louis

I was talking to the flight doc the other day and he was telling me about Topeka, might try to get out there next year when I get back to the states and buy a new bike. But I'll have to check out those twisties and lunch. Any place you recommend?

well im originally from cassville missouri, and i dont make it home that much anymore but i just got back into bikes.. took a break when i bought a house

but if your ever in northwest arkansas (garfield) idk if they do lunch but its called across the creek and they have an all you can eat crab legs.. they will bring bucket after bucket and they are good and the catfish is awesome

eureka springs arkansas has alot of good places to eat but its been a couple years since ive went thru there but now that i got the new bike and i dont have to work saturdays i will be making that trip alot this summer

and of course branson missouri always has some good places to eat.. but keep in mind its by the lake and its tourist town so its usually always packed in the summer but all the roads that lead to branson are good twisties

a big thing is just dont stop at a everyday food joint..

I've heard of branson a few dudes at work took their familys out there. So your saying Mcdonalds in Branson is not a good idea lol crab legs sounds good and glad you got back into riding I took a few years off as well. I was 19 loved bikes all my life joined the military got my brand new 10k bike stolen and took me a few years to get it fixed between deployments moving work and blah blah blah. But I just recently started riding again as well.

lol pretty much, when i use to ride with some friends a couple years ago they would stop at like pizza hut or any fast food joint and im just like wtf ? we just rode 3 hrs and im gonna eat some crap i can get in tulsa ? no thanks ill take a chance and try somethin ive never heard of

if your in central missouri you have to know where osage beach is, i remember goin there when i was 15-16 and there was some fine dining there, just locally owned places that served good food but it was 25-50 bucks a meal but was well worth it.. i hate when i go somewhere and order steak and i can make a better one at my house but there are some hole in the wall places that make some good food

i went from the street to track days to racing.. then boom bought a house and got paraniod that if i got hurt i would lose everything and now that ive been in my house a year i got a heck of a deal on a 08 1000 and im looking forward to getting back into riding

Lived in Kansas City my whole life up till last year. I spend most of my childhood around Osage Beach, Warsaw, Clinton, Springfield, and Branson. +1 on Branson being pretty busy during the summer.

Hallet Raceway in Oklahoma is pretty fun, the surface is kind of bumpy in areas, but it's fairly technical. I actually never got the chance to go to Heartland Park, Topeka.
