It looks like I'm going to buy some 92 1100 GSX-R 36mm carbs from Paul. The carbs are stage 3 modified for the 1100. Can anyone give me any suggestions for jetting it for an 86 750 with individual air cleaners and full Yoshi pipe? The stock carbs are happy at WOT with 160 mains. Thanks in advance.

i used to run 36mm slingshots (from a katana 750) on an 87 gsxr750....if i remember correctly i think i ended up using 144 mains.

try to get the 36mm intake boots if you can, as they will be a major bitch to get onto the stock intake boots, assuming you don't have issues with carb spacing...the 1100 carbs may be spaced a bit wider...

if they were jetted for use on an 1100, the mains will be too big for the 750. the 1100 stage 3's would have mains in the 150's, possibly 160's range.

set up right, the 36mm carbs will be MUCH better than the 31's.....the 31's are garbage. they meter fuel so badly that they need huge main jets and a ridiculously shaped needle to run passably....and that's only at higher rpm's....

the 34mm's from the 87 750 also work well, and you can fit them into your stock intake boots without wrestling with them too much.
