the YZF 750 red lenses stick out of the black plastic, unlike in the pictures here.

Well spotted, YZF 750 is indeed a little larger.

I used FZR 400RR 3TJ, it's the closest thing I could get to the 80's GSX-R endurance tail lights that was around the right size and had the bolt through surround.

Apologies for the crude lines best I could do over a slow internet connection.
Oh thanks a lot, i know 750 is a bit larger than 400 so at first sight it seems that 400 would fit better (but unknow measurement+way more difficult to find..the SP i mean).
I remember a 13-14 cm width and 6,5 height hole on mine so maybe 750 would fit better than 400. Will try next weekend.
One more thank you :cheers

After a bit of a break from activity on the project, some progress made:

Oil catch tank finished, rearsets ti fasteners machined and tapered and now mounted properly, new shock test fitted, alloy fuel tank rear mount fabricated and seat bridge mock up in progress.

Once ride height is decided on, the bridge can be machined and welded on.

Seat unit bridge now machined. It'll get welded on along with rear mountings once positions are finalised.

No progress for 6 months ish, other than the odd hour here & there.
Then this Friday off to the welders, thanks as ever Craig.

Click to watch, I just end up feeding the wire in till I burn my fingers :lmao

I`ve had a couple of goes at alloy welding & it`s an art I haven't mastered . Best left to some one that can.

Note the Wispa sitting on the tank......Craig's old adage "Will weld for chocolate" still holds true! :)

Let's hope your fibreglassing skills are equally as good as your picture and video uploading skills eh? That tank / seat / frame interface shape and gap needs some help! :)

Nice work though....seat bridge, electrics plate, seat hump mount and battery tray all bespoke in alloy. :cool

Thanks guys, love it!
