So I was riding last year an it seemed as if my bat died. I jumped it all was good for awhile. The next time it happens I ran an jump started it it started but there was no lights. Drove home with no lights that night. Put it on the trickle charger. Everything was good for a few days then it died again. How can I tell if my battery shit the bed. Is that why the bike wouldn’t be recharging the battery? Seems like everything is acting funny.

auto parts stores can test the battery for load and so forth, you can test the R/R and stator for output, all you need is the multi meter, $20 or so at parts stores

testing the charging system is in the manual and fairly easy, sort of an achilles with this bike, inspect all your harness connectors front to back, then pack with dielectric grease.. if you can get a mosfet regulator they run cooler tend to melt and fail less..

a direct to battery coupling is also a good way to go, someo kits sell that style direct to battery.. works
