I did mine and it was easy, I wanted to cover up the old opening completely and I did not want it to fly off at hi speed so I drilled little holes from inside the signals through the body and bolted them on for good. Did such a good job that they didn’t even fall off when I crashed. I don't think they will be flush if you just used the double sided tape. There will be a little 1cm crack between them and the body.

I didnt want to drill into my body in case I ever wanted to change, so I took the panels off and screwed down a little metal strip on both sides. Then I took zipties and ran them through the lights and around the metal pieces. I bent the bottom metal parts of the lights a little so that they would have a smoother fit with the body. The fit is awesome, I have had them on there for almost a year and have never had problems.
