Here's a good tip for you to gain at least 100HP.

Buy 4 cans of WD-40 and duct tape them together. Next, wedge them into your airbox, aiming the little straws into the carb throats (or throttle bodies for you FI freaks), leave the top off the airbox, but make sure that when you put the tank back down, it's pressing on the nozzles, get on your bike and enjoy the power increase.

Cheaper than Nitrous!

tomabram, read the title of the forum and it's description, then come and apologise like the big man you are. And remember, the only time ediot is the correct spelling is when it follows the words "Stimpy you...".

bcjohn, LOL, beefcake, BEEEEEEFCAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKE! I've now burst the outer zipper on my leathers from too many puddings, but spotted dick isn't a favourite! I much prefer a large main course helping of toad-in-the hole

Hotrod, cheers dude, it's nice to know you have my contributions valued exactly right

Anyhow Notorious, as is typical you've stopped the charge of the Light Brigade prior to them getting whacked. For each tin of WD40, you need a tin of diesel starting ether. As you can imagine, it is...mmm..bloody impressive, though it does dry out the combustion chamber. However, with the combo of wd40 acting as top oil, you should have an interesting result.

Interesting, in this forum, my dear tomabram, is defined by that which, while upchucking at the trough of physics, does not ever get the formula quite right.

Hey Notorious, good on that fellow pulling in excess of 200mph on his fucking NAKED Bandit 1200 (though he did have clipons). Was that Bruntingthorpe??

Anyhow, must go to the kitchen and make up some blood sausage....oh fuck I don't know HOW you fat bastard can eat that. I'll have to think up something distinktly Canadian that rots one's socks
Cheers!!

bcjohn, hmmm, that could work, however, I'd be a little concerned about taking too much room in my airbox.

The naked bandit rocked, better aerodynamic than an R1, although I'll bet the guy had a neck like Barney Rubble.

Perf. Bikes have just done Round 2 of the 200mph club. The fastest road legal bike was a turbo 'Busa doing the flying quarter at an average of 216mph, but with an entry into the flying quarter of 230-ish. Pretty good stuff.

For my own part, this weeks "Project that will never be" is creating a 175HP Mini Turbo, expect the parts to be on sale early next week...

hey, where can i get wd-40 and ether by the case. that is cheaper than premium here, anyhow.
btw Notorious, i have had FANtastic results by wedging my wifes hairdryer in my airbox, and wiring it to my horn button. i now make about 3 h.p. and have terrific airbox resonance. i am gonna have to get a smaller hairdryer, if i want to add wd-40 and ether. i am thinking of using a 10 gallon water bucket (pail) for the form on a carbon fiber airbox, so i can keep the bigger "turbo". any suggestions, guys?

I hope you have one of those hairdryers that allows full fan speed with no heat, if not, you may want to gut the heating elements out of it. I suggest filling your bucket with ice, this should intoduce an intercooler effect. This along with the pressure drop from the aerosols providing ether and wd-40 should should deliver a nicely cooled intake charge, worth maybe 15 or 20 hp?

For those of you interested, Project Mini has taken a mighty step forward. I managed to buy a complete Austin Metro for £50 ($70?) which has a 1275cc mini engine in it with less than 40,000 genuine miles on it. I'll hopefully do a deal with a local Mini specialist and swap this entire car for a Metro turbo motor (same engine, but with a stronger block and a Garrett T3).

Notorious, au contrair mi amigo from the wrong side of the pond... heat is absolutly essential to overcome carb icing with those pressurized cans, ever spray ether at close range on your skin? (not a highly recommended procedure, but hey, i never claimed to be the sharpest tool in the shed)

keep us updated on the metro-from-satan project....
p.s. your siggy implies you are actually back on two wheels. is it true, or is that old bike stats?

Yeah, still on 2 wheels, never actually sold the 600 (the buyer I had never turned up with the cash). Haven't ridden for 2 weeks though, combination of drink, work and weather

Damn, I realize that its just a joke, but I actually had some friends rig up a leaf blower to my old roommates Geo Metro engine. Course if you add like 2-3 HP on that little 3-cyl engine, you've doubled the stock HP on the thing.

Actually, the Turbo Mini thing is no joke! The Metro I was referring to isn't the Geo Metro, which is actually a Suzuki Swift, but an Austin Mini-Metro, the Austin Mini's big bro'.

Geo's suck ass, when I came to Florida a few years back, I ended up with a Geo Prizm as a rental car, slowest thing I've EVER driven, and that includes my Russian-built Lada!
