I've been having problem with my 98GSXR600. It first started to feel like its jerking and then it shut down when I'm cruising atapproximately 70mph. I was told to try replacing the fuel pump. This is my first time doing this, if anyone could giving some instruction or what to expect when replacing the fuel pump. Also I understood that if the fuel pump doesn't fix the problem then the next thing is the CID box.

changing the pump is easy just disconnect the fuel line, disconnect the power, and unbolt the pump pull the pump out and put the new one in

there are 8 bolts on the fuel pump plate, they need to be tightened in a sequence to tighten it down evenly, have you checked to see if inside the tank is clean??? (mine was rusty)
get a flashlight and take a look
also use permenant locktite (threadlock) on the bolts
also the pipe that goes from the pump to the fuel rail by the carbs has a small filter in the connection ,its worth a clean

any probs let me know

this is my fuel pump and what came out of the tank
