As u all know, i bought oldgixxers 89 ......

I just rode about 150 miles today, and realized i have to do something. This is my 2nd oil cooled, my first was a 91 .....The problem is, i owned my 91 about 6 yrs ago and i was only about 220lbs....

6'5" @ 220 seemed ok to fit on the bike....since then i've put on about 60 lbs.....6'5" @ 280-85 dosent seem to work to well anymore...( lotta time in the gym )

Now that u know where i'm going with this here is the question.....

If i put the USD forks off an 1100, along with the correct clipons will i gain a little height to push me up some....Feels like because the reach is so far, i'm sliding forward over every bump. I was also considering the clip-on spacers i saw in a mag.....

To anyone who has done the swap......WILL THIS HELP ME?

My buddy just picked up a 2000 750 today....If i could get that riding position on my bike i'd be happy........

Any thoughts?....

find out if the clipons form a 95+1100 will fit.
they are clipons, but the bars are above the triple tree.

Tom, switching to the usd forks from a gsxr 1100 will help as the clip-ons are on top of the tripple clamp, hope this helps
