After a decade long hiatus I’m back on 2 wheels. I picked up a 2004 Suzuki Volusia VL800 a few weeks ago for $1300 and I LOVE IT!!! My ‘90 GSXR 1100 is still waiting patiently in the corner of the garage to be out back together, but I think the ‘83 Yamaha XJ750 and my ‘92 Jeep Cherokee are still ahead of it on the project list.

I’ll have to peruse the sight then to see how many are still around and active that I would know. Anyway..... here is the new addition....

I added a windshield and some throw over bags for now. I think I’ll eventually try and install some hard bags, but in the meantime I’ll probably just hard mount my soft leather bags.

Pic of the XJ750 on the lift and what’s that back there in the corner...

That is a great bike. I have an o8. They are a little underpowered but if you are cruising its fine. No need to race it. There are lots of fun cool things to do to it. If you don't know aready- Volusiariders.com is a great forum to get on. The people there are very nice and helpful. There isn’t as many squid crackhead posts to laugh at though.

I had a Suzuki Madura 1200 years ago.. the only cruiser type bike I've ever had, I had it for a week found myself going off a shoulder of the road when the bike would not turn any further (pipe dragging on the ground) I immediately sold it and bought a GS1150 figuring I'd kill myself on the other.

Thanks guys. I’m on Volusiariders.com as XJMatt, but it isn’t active enough, so I thought I’d come back home to see if there were any other Intruder or Boulevard guys hanging around on here. I’m also on chop cult and xjbikes for the Yamaha bobber project.

Yes it is quiet there. I dont go on there too much myself just because my bike is so darn reliable.

Nice bike. I had an ‘09 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Classic that I put a Batwing windshield, Hardchrome 3” Big Straights, power commander, dyno tune and a billet K&N cold air. Now I’m back on an OILER/BOILER (‘01 Kat 600) that I rebuilt to my preference.
