how do I remove the gas tank, I know which bolts hold it on but how do I keep the fuel from running out, also how do I get those small clips off the tail section, I need to remove this also.

Pop rivets? Place the pointed end of a philips (crosshead) screwdriver and depress the centre tab of the pop rivet to remove them.
