There are two nuts on the inside of the fairing under the mirrors themselves. You have to remove them and then there is a single allen head bolt at the bottom of the instrument cluster that needs to come out. when you remove the allen bolt, you have to pull the cluster out towards the tank. the top left and right corners of the cluster are fitting into a rubber mounting set up that just pulls out. Once you remove the cluster, then you will see the wires and connectors for the turn signals in the mirrors and just unclamp them and fish the signal wires out of the hole and remove the mirrors.
