I just got mine this year(1100-G). The guy that I bought it off of really loved this bike and had put alot into it. He had it jetted stage 3 added a vance and hines supersport exhuast and had the heads portted and polish added hi perfomance valves and had it bored (how much? duno)and added oversized pistons. I have learned that the trade off is that it is very touchy about humidity as to how it will run. So needless to say my machine isn't the stock version. I've blow alot of the new bikes away in a straight line. I just wanted to know how well would this machine do if it was bone stock? I asked my local shop owner now get this he does not deal with suzukis anymore. He sells kawasaki only now. but he said "the first GSXR's 750-1100s where the best bike's ever built!" He went on to explain that alot of the newer bikes have a hell of alot better wieght to horse ratio and feul injections as advantages. but the fact is this bike is the blue print from which all of the new superbikes came from. He said the 750 was the first and the 1100 was it's bad ass "bigger brother." He said sure these 900's and 1000s can beat the stock G on the quarter but not by much and he said with all of the mods I have only the zx11's-12's and the busa to worry about beating me every time. He said everything else will either loose or have a danm good driver on board. Now feeling good about this my girlfriend and I leave the shop. Me grinning from ear to ear becuase I'm guilty of telling her that Suzi's are the best and she should go for a gsxr instead of a Kaw. This is when she says that he was just strokin me so I would by the Ninja that her and I stopped in to check out. (she likes the lime green color)So I just wanted your opinons on the subject. Is it true that even if my beast was stock it would hang with new feul injected water cooled hi-tech $10,000 machines? and did the 86 GSXR set the mark for all of the new super bikes of today?
