Hello friends, a few months ago I bought this wrecked gsxr k8 600 to rebuild it (my first Suzuki). The fact is that a couple of days ago I was changing the clutch discs and I realized that the discs that I bought did not fit in the clutch, the ones that my motorcycle has are bigger and in the kit that I bought there are 8 and my motorcycle needs 9, then a question came to mind. Do I have another engine model? We all know that Suzuki hasn't changed its engine in a long time. So how do I know if I have the correct engine or maybe I have a newer one?

Parts catalog shows 7 std fibers with an inner most and outer most fiber for a total of 9. It’s more likely that you have the incorrect clutch kit.
Just get the engine number off the casing and look it up.
welp, if the engine mounts on the chassis do not look modified then its for that gen.. far as exact year you could send the serial number to japan suzuki they might tell?

How do i send the number?
You don't need to send it. You can look it up online or go into any Suzuki dealership.
